Dear Reader,
I'm writing this in the hopes of being able to help someone along the way. For about fifteen years I have been struggling with a condition called Hidradenitis Supuritiva (a.k.a. Acne Inversa or, more simply, HS). After nine years of misdiagnosis, I can now research my condition and hopefully find, if not a cure, some relief. I hope that in sharing my experiences and what I learn along the way, others will know they are not alone in their silent journey. I'll try to be as candid as I can be while still maintaining my dignity. I'll tell of my personal experience with doctors, which was not extensive, different outbreak scenarios, different treatments I've undergone, and what I've discovered has brought relief. This is not a scientific journal. I'm not a medical professional. My conclusions can be terribly wrong. They are only just that, my conclusions.
